  • Clinic Information

    • Team-based care is available at the Castlegar UPCC for urgent, non-life threatening illnesses or injuries that need attention within 12-24 hours.

      The Castlegar UPCC takes appointments for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries such as:

      • Minor pain including sore throats, wound checks and dressings, and suture removal
      • Assessment and short-term treatment for joint pain and injuries that limit movements
      • Minor fevers, infections and upset stomach
      • Sexual health information and testing
      • Short-term mental health including anxiety and mild to moderate depression

      Based on your care needs, care could be with a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, social worker, or physiotherapist.

      Depending on the nature of your injury or illness, you may be seen by a physician, a registered nurse, a physiotherapist, or a social worker.

      The Castlegar and Area UPCC is primarily accessed through the Castlegar Emergency Department and patients will receive care in either the ED or the UPCC, depending on urgency and need.

       

      Please note the Castlegar UPCC is not a walk-in clinic – if you would like more information on our services please call 250-304-1289.

       

      For life-threatening illnesses or injuries, please call 9-1-1 or go to the emergency department to be assessed and treated immediately.
