Clinic Information
The Southeast Urgent and Primary Care Centre will provide care for unexpected, non-life-threatening health concerns that require treatment within 12-24 hours. If you do not have a primary care provider (family doctor or nurse practitioner) or your primary care provider is not available, then you can go to the Southeast UPCC for illnesses or injuries such as:
- Sprains and strains
- Cuts, wounds or skin conditions
- High fever
- Infections, including chest, ear and urinary tract
- Asthma
- New or worsening pain
- Dehydration/constipation
- Less serious child illness and injury
- Worsening chronic disease
Patients will be seen according to URGENCY. Social work and mental health services are also available on site. Note: Medical imaging and lab services are within walking distance from the SE UPCC.
The UPCC will work in conjunction with family physicians and care providers and will not replace these as the first point of contact for non-emergency care, nor will it replace the Emergency Departments for life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Rather, the SE UPCC will be an additional service in the community, working in concert with all touch points for care to provide appropriate urgent services to patients, when and where they need it.
If you do not have a primary care provider and are looking for a family doctor or nurse practitioner please register online here.
